Frequently asked questions

How does the receipt scanning work?

When you photograph or upload a receipt, LandlordEzy's AI reads it and extracts the vendor, date, total amount and a best-fit expense category, then pre-fills the form. You review and confirm before it saves — and the receipt image is stored with the expense as your proof.

Can I track expenses for different properties separately?

Yes. Every expense can be applied to a specific property, a unit within it, or a tenant's lease — including vacant units. You can then filter and total expenses per property, so you always know what each one really costs you.

Can I give the report to my accountant?

That's the point. Filter by tax year (or any date range) and export a clean PDF or CSV with the vendor, category, property and amount for every expense — exactly what your accountant needs at year-end.

What kind of receipts can it read?

Photos (JPG/PNG) and PDFs of receipts or invoices — a hardware-store receipt, a contractor's invoice, a utility bill, an insurance statement, and more. If the AI can't read something, the receipt is still attached and you can fill in the details by hand.
