This Privacy Policy explains how LandlordEzy Inc. ("LandlordEzy", "we", "us") collects,
uses, and protects information when you use our website at landlordezy.ca
and related services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & contact information — name, email address, mobile phone number, and city/province.
- Rental & application information — details you provide when booking a showing, applying to rent, or completing screening (e.g. employment, income range, occupants).
- Usage information — pages viewed and actions taken, used to operate and improve the Platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the Platform and provide the services you request (e.g. booking showings, applications, screening).
- To send you transactional communications by email and, where you have opted in, by SMS/text message (see Section 3).
- To protect the security and integrity of the Platform and comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS / Text Message Program
If you opt in, LandlordEzy sends transactional text messages related to your rental showings —
for example, showing reminders, "on my way" confirmation prompts, and a request for feedback after a showing.
- Consent (opt-in). You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the box
labeled "Text me showing reminders & confirmations (standard rates may apply)" on the booking
form at landlordezy.ca/rentals. Consent is collected per user
at the time of booking. We do not use purchased, rented, or shared phone lists.
- Message frequency varies based on your showing activity.
- Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply
HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional
purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services strictly to deliver these messages
(such as our messaging provider) is permitted solely for that purpose.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With the landlord of a listing you book a showing for or apply to, as needed to facilitate that showing or application.
- With service providers who process information on our behalf (e.g. email delivery, our SMS provider, payment processing) under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to provide the service.
- Where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Platform.
As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
5. Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and retain
it only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.
6. Your Choices & Rights
You may access or update your information, opt out of SMS at any time (reply STOP), and request deletion of
your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements. Canadian users have rights under
applicable privacy legislation (PIPEDA).
